Privacy notice
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This notice explains what personal data the Human Capital Club of Chulalongkorn University (HCC) collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it corrected or deleted. It follows Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Who is responsible
HCC is a student-led club at Chulalongkorn University. The club committee is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at chulahcc@gmail.com.
What we collect when you apply
When you submit the form on the Join Us page, we collect only what that form asks for:
- Your first name, last name and nickname
- Your student ID number
- Your email address
- Your faculty
- The position you are applying for
- A link to your resume or portfolio
- Your answers to the short questions for that position
- Your confirmation of interview availability and your consent
We do not collect your ID card number, address, date of birth, or any special-category data such as health, religion or political opinion. We do not use cookies for advertising and the site has no third-party analytics or tracking.
What we publish about members
The About page shows the club's committee and its members. For the committee we may publish a name, nickname, role, photograph and LinkedIn profile link. For members we publish only a first name with the initial of the surname, a nickname, and the team they are in — never an email address, phone number, LINE ID, student ID or faculty. This is published only with that person's consent, and only what they agreed to.
If you are a member and want your entry changed or removed, email us and we will take it down. Removal takes effect the next time the page loads — there is no waiting for a rebuild.
Why we collect it
Application data is used only to review your application, contact you about it, and arrange interviews. Directory data is used only to introduce the club's team on this website. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with companies, sponsors or partner organizations.
Where it is stored
Applications are stored in Supabase (a hosted database) and copied into a private Google Sheet that only the club committee can open. Confirmation emails are sent from the club's Google account. The committee list on the About page is kept in a Google Sheet; the member roster below it is written directly into this website's own pages and is not stored anywhere else. These providers process the data on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Thailand.
How long we keep it
Application data is kept until the end of the academic year in which you applied, so the committee can review that recruitment round and hand over to the next committee. After that it is deleted. Member directory entries are kept while you are a member and removed when you leave or ask us to remove them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask us to:
- Show you the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your data, or withdraw the consent you gave
- Object to how we use it, or ask us to stop using it
- Receive a copy of the data you gave us
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with the data before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent while your application is being reviewed, we will stop reviewing it.
